When I first arrived at the Orphanage, I was scared and lonely. I missed my parents,and evrything felt so unfamiliar, But over time,the caregivers became like family to me. They took the time to listen to me and help me with my studies. I made friends with other children who had gone through similar experiences.The orphanage gave me a safe place to grow, to learn and to believe that I could have a future. Today I’m in form 1 at Pamodzi Secondary school in Mufulira Zambia.
Peniel Children home is welcoming, fun to be around, sweet and accepting. We had so much fun playing outside with the kids, doing homework, eating, cleaning, and playing soccer.
I just wanted to thank you everyone for this incredible experience. I will never forget the love that I was shown. That week was unforgettable. The orphanage visitation has confirmed my passion for working with kids and helping others.
The feeding program was great! The children had great time and it was awesome to see them bond with each other. The staff was super friendly. Hanging up with the children, helping them with homework showed a gesture of love and caring.
Visiting Peniel Children Home, my experience left an indelible mark on my heart, reforced the importance of empathy, connection,and kindness in our interaction with others. As I reflect on my visit, I am reminded that every individual, regardless of their background, deserves to be seen, heard and supported. The children I meet ignited a glimmer of hope within me- a hope that compassion and collective efforts can contribute to a brighter future for each other and every child, one step at a time
